<lj:music>Bittersweet Symphony - The Verve</lj:music>

Heya!

It's funny how streets you're used to seem so different at seven in the morning after not having slept the night before.

On the other hand, being up two and a half dollars in penny-poker's always a good time :)
I cleaned Micucci right out of all his money. Every last penny.

The last round was intense: "I'll see your penny, and I'll raise fourty" "I'll see your fourty and raise another fourty" etc. Full house, King over Jack vs full house, King over seven. Fuckin' close man.

Anyhow, that's all I wanted to mention. Oh, that and hangovers suck.
Ciao for now, kiddies! :)

    <lj:music>St. Anger - Metallica</lj:music>

Hey all!

So, I downloaded Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones... I guess yesterday. Whoa.

Anyhow. Here's my critique thus far; same sorts of puzzles. Slightly more challenging ones and some interesting twists on the normal traps.
And for the bad stuff.
Mandatory Chariot Racing Scenes. Mandatory. Chariot. Racing. Scenes.

The point in these scenes is to not hit the walls (which is instant death) and to not allow someone to board your chariot (which is instant death). These scenes range from 10 to 15 years in length, with no saves or checkpoints throughout.

And your chariot rides like... a fucking oil tanker. A whale? A big ass sperm fucking whale turns faster than your chariot.

So... in conclusion... only get this game if you became hopelessly addicted to the first two. Mandatory chariot race scenes tear all the fun out of it.

Oh wait, one more little thing that sucked.
You get some sort of sidekick who lives in your head and spouts pseudo machoist pig slander while the prince discovers to be "sensitive". Did I mention that the sidekick makes wise cracks and is really a-fucking-nnoing?

Alright. I'm thought. That's all. I swear I'll never bring video games up here again. I swear it.
Ciao for now!

Heya all!

Alright, can't sleep right now, so I thought I'd post a thought.
I hate people who emulate what they're suposta feel because of their music.

For an example, punk rock or emo kids commonly do as their music tells them to. Well, as with any musical genre, I suppose.

In any case, I think it's rather absurd. I'm not going to riot because my music tells me to; I'm not going to long for love because my music tells me to; I'm not going to swear at a loved one because my music tells me to; I'm not going think my music's charming or witty because I can't understand it; I'm not going to hate or like people because my music tells me they aren't those I want to associate with. I'm not going to do anything that my music tells me to that I wouldn't do otherwise.

With that in mind, I think I'm going to dance to some Metallica now (smiles)
Catch you fuckheads lata, and sleep well
Adieu all!

    <lj:music>Raputina - Dig Ophelia</lj:music>

Heya

Here's the next instalment of "odd dreams by me"

So, here's the scene. There's this really hot guy with vibrant natural red hair on a beach wearing a white wifebeater and low cut jeans. He's carrying a violin, walking along a boardwalk, getting to an orchestra. When he walks onto the sand where they're playing, the orchestra director calls attention to this guy, who says he's been working on his violin skills for a while, and the director says it's quite nice to have him on board. He then takes out a cello and starts playing The Extacy of Gold, though poorly. The rest of the orchestra joins in, much to the director's dismay, as he wanted to hear this man play on his lonesome.

I remember the man's stance was odd, as well. He had his instrument over one leg, pointed out from his body, and was playing very limp-like, as if he had no idea what he was doing.

The dream itself was very bright and utopic; the sands didn't glisten white, but the water was a pure blue and there were seagulls about and noone else on the beach. There was only the orchestra, the catwalk behind it, and I think there were some sort of dark rocks creating a niche where they played, and there was the ocean in the background... just a very pleasant dream (nods)

I think, however, that there was some import to the fact that the rest of the orchestra members loved playing, yet their instruments were of poor quality and unfinnished, every one.

Anyhow! That's all!
Catch ya guys lata :)

    <lj:music>Tool - Parabola</lj:music>

Heya

Scariest dream, ever

So, I'm in this orchestra with Kera. I'm tuning my cello, and it sounds great except the c string (lowest), so I retune the c and then all the rest of them are off. I'm sorta annoyed, but the teech starts handing out music, saying "It'll be 60 bucks". The kid passing out the music gives me a "cello for beginners" book, which seems to be the music book used, as well as two or three others. I start opening it when the kid takes my bow (I guess he figured it was property of the orchestra and pretty nice). I ask for it back, and so he gives it back.

I look at my beautiful black bow and noticed something; On the frog (the back part that you hold it by) and some of the hair there is blood, and this blood is on my hand. I yell out to this guy, "Hey kid! Are you bleeding!?", and he says "Well, I'm usually bleeding from some place or another" in a sorta dismissive fashion and shows his elbow, which is bleeding.

Only thing is, his blood is coming out like water; its running down his arm. His other elbow is also bleeding in the same way, and his arms and chest are covered with a sheen of sweat, and his chest has strange insect-like brown spots on it. His girlfriend, whos lap he was sitting on, screams . He yells "Fuck this hurts!", and I take the incentive to run outta the room and try an find a phone to call an ambulance.

I exit the room, and end up in my highschool on the third floor. I see my french teacher as I pass and she's laughing, saying "Pourquoi vous courriez, Pete-er?" and I said -and I remember distincly- "Madame, on doigt une ambulance!" -as a note, I doubt the correctness of that grammar-. She scurries off, and my dream ends as I'm in the staircase on the way to the phones.

So I wake up with this distinct image of this guy; sweat and blood pouring off him, his shirt open and showing the terrible infection, and the look of extreme pain and confusion as his being ostracised, just for that brief moment in which it was revealed.

Now, one might ask how the others in the dream didn't notice his rather apparent disease from the beginning. It's a fuckin' dream (shrugs)

In any case, catch ya fuckheads lata!
Ciao!
